One of my biggest skincare focuses lately has been on brightening and resurfacing my skin at night, which is when I tend to use the majority of my products. Let me start off by saying that I have clear skin with the occasional breakout, my skin gets dry if I don’t use a heavy moisturizer, and it’s also extremely sensitive and eczema prone. That being said, I have to be somewhat picky about what products I use, especially when it comes to peels or brightening treatments.
After trying a sample of these, I was very intrigued by the idea of a simple, nightly peel pad, and they didn’t burn or break me out in hives (sensitive skin problems.) The only downside was the $78 price tag for just 30 pads...no, thanks. After spying me wandering around the skincare section at Ulta, a nice saleslady convinced me that the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Nightly Brightening Pads were just as effective as the expensive ones, but half the price. Of course I was sold and bought them immediately.
Fast forward about 2 months (there’s 60 pads in the container) and sadly, I haven’t noticed much of a difference in my skin. I really wanted to love this product- it’s organic, filled with brightening ingredients like vitamin B3 and hyaluronic acid, it’s not crazy expensive and is super easy and quick to use. While the product description claims to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and uneven skin tone and texture with daily use, I didn’t see that happen.
While I will definitely try some other products from Juice Beauty, I don’t think I would repurchase these peel pads. I haven’t lost hope in this concept of a super easy way to rejuvenate the skin, so here are a few replacements that are on my radar to try next!
